The Ashland County Humane Society
has a new web page! Check it often for updates, as the page
is new and will have content added frequently, such as the progress on their goal of constructing an actual physical
facility for housing abused and stray animals. They have the land, and are now raising money to build a building. Become
a Facebook friend by searching Facebook for "Humane Society of Ashland County"; it is a good way to stay up on what is
happening! Mark your calendars for PAWZFEST, Sat Sept 11, noon-4 behind the Ashland YMCA! (great fun!!!) |

Ashland County Dog Shelter
Information about this County Government operated facility here! The
County maintains the shelter, which is not a no-kill facility, issues the county Dog Licenses, and houses the office of the County Dog Warden. It
is funded through dog license fees and adoption fees. In addition to the Dog Warden, there is an Office Manager, Kennel Manager, &, iirc, a part-time
kennel assistant. They also rely on volunteers to help socialize, exercise, and care for the dogs. The Dog Shelter does not accept cats. |
