How to stay up-to-date with park happenings

Pepppy Paws Pooch Park Yahoo Group
If you are a member of Peppy Paws Pooch Park, there is a Yahoo Group for you! It allows members and park staff to stay in communication, sharing news and events about the park.

To join the group, you'll need a Yahoo account (free, click the link and then you'll see up at the very top of the page over to the right a link that says

            "NEW USER? SIGN UP"

and follow the instructions. If you need help, give me a shout at 419-606-2395 and I'll see if I can walk you through it) and then visit the Yahoo group site at Peppy Paws Pooch Park Yahoo Group

I'll be sure to post dates for mowing, etc a day or two beforehand there.

Twitter
Additionally, probably the very best and easiest way to receive notices about the Park Status is to set up a Twitter account and "follow" PeppyPaws. Same as above; if you have trouble figuring it out, feel free to give me a call.

Basically, here's how it works: I signed up on Twitter. Then, to pass along news to other interested folks, I send a text message from my phone (or computer) to Twitter. Then Twitter forwards the message to all the people who have elected to receive my messages (by signing up on Twitter and choosing to "follow" PeppyPaws). You can change your settings at any time.

It is free and easy; at most, your cell phone provider charges you to receive a text message, so you want to know if and how much before you sign up to receive notices by cell phone. My own plan allows so many texts before there is a charge of 5¢, if I recall correctly. Of course, we won't bombard you with tons of useless junk, just a brief message periodically about when the park will be mowed, or that the parking area has been snowplowed, or when some special event is happening at the park, such as a benefit for homeless dogs in Ashland County.

For an in-depth discussion of these things and more, you might want to download the Farm Bureau guide to social media, a 20 page, 4.6 Mb pdf file HERE
